I tend to blame Freud--perhaps unfairly in part--for reducing literary analysis to talk of repressions and sexual politics, most of which is terribly foreign and uninteresting to me. It's overwhelmingly good to hear someone say: you know, a glass shoe is just a glass shoe, and as such it can mean endless things. Likewise for that poor maligned tower. :)<br /><br />Again, excellent.
